From Peggy Hotchkiss, St. Barnabas', Saratoga and Navajoland:  My nephew, Matthew Walsh, returned on Friday from his second tour of duty in Iraq.  When my sister announced his return in church (St. Anne's, Ankenny, Iowa) the congregation erupted in applause and tears! 

Now, however, I have two more nephews on their way to Iraq.  Patrick Peterson (with the Nebraska National Guard) and his brother Galen, who just graduated from West Point and has been assigned to the 4th Infantry.  Also, my niece Beth (Matthew's sister) became engaged yesterday to a military policeman named Jeff, who will be deployed to Iraq this summer.  So, our family is very busy praying for peace and for our boys' safety!

My Son is Staff Sgt. Christopher Cerillo who is with the 3rd LAR, Alpha Co., 3rd Plt. out of 29 Palms. This is his 2nd deployment to Iraq and I begin and end every day with a prayer for my boy and all his brave comrads. My son,  William E. McGary  Lance Corporal  US Marines just left yesterday for Kuwait then on to Iraq in September with the 3rd LAR from Twentynine Palms Ca. Marine Corp Base.  They will relieve the 1st LAR on the Syrian border I think.  LAR is for Light Armored Recon  vehicle ........vehicles are  (LAV-25)  (8 large wheels & tires with a turret on top....carries a crew of 3 and six Marine scouts in the back)

My brother-in-law, Chad Glick, has been called up and scheduled to go to Iraq at the end of October. I know many of you may know others over there, but if you would say a prayer to help keep Chad safe - my family would be extremely grateful. When Chad leaves for Iraq his daughter, Ashlyn, will have just turned 2 years old. The normal stay in Iraq is 18 months, when he returns she will be 4. Little ones grow so much during that time. I would appreciate it if you would add my brother Lorenzo Johny Martinez to the prayer list. He is 20 years old and recently got married. He is stationed in Camp Pendleton. I don't know much more because we live in Texas and he lives in California. We need all the prayers we can get. Please pray for Sergeant Major Gregory A. Bennick and the soldiers of the 115th Field Artillery Brigade Forward who are stationed in Kuwait. Sergeant Paul Bennick and the soldiers of the 2nd of the 300th Field Artillery Battalion who are in Ft. Dix, N.J. waiting to be deployed to Iraq sometime at the beginning of April. Please remember Terry Bennick the wife of Greg and the mother of Paul for strength and comfort while they are gone from home and out of the country.
